That's a wrap for LDG’s 2023

Numbers and Nonsense
While it is not quite the end of the year it is the time for bookkeepers to traditionally get a little quieter with the next major compliance date in the new year.

So this is a great time to reflect. What have we done here at LDG this year?

The first big announcement is that LDG isn’t just a one man (or woman) band. I'm not alone at LDG ans I now have 2 casual employees - who have a shared passion for technology - busy remotely working in the background. This was necessary as LDG has completed four Employment Hero Payroll implementations this year; which are usually very time sensitive. In addition we have also performed an Employment Hero HR implementation, two QBO implementations and acting as Project Manager to a Payroll self implementation.

Thanks mostly to your fantastic recommendations, LDG has had a 25% increase of regular clients while forming strategic networks with two other major providers (also BAS agents), subcontracting for projects, holiday coverage, and those urgent time sensitive jobs. This means that LDG has succession planning and coverage in place to better serve your requirements, while also providing the same coverage in return. The ultimate aim is to be more than a just a “solo operation”, but to provide continued support and prioritise the client's needs while maintaining full integrity.

Those who know us well, know that LDG isn't just about "the books", so we did have our very first EOFY celebration this year. This is apt to become a yearly tradition and very well may include some travel to allow our geographically spread team to catch up in person.

As a BAS Agent; I have done nearly 40 hours of Professional Development this year particularly around software, meaning future proofing LDG’s knowledge base to the benefit of our clients.

Blogs are also a new a regular feature, providing tips, guidance, and general observations to help not only existing clients but everyone who has anything to do with bookkeeping, HR and payroll. If you love technology as much as I do, then do check out the blogs on some of the stand out software for the year;
If you need any further information, I'm happy to have a chat on any of these topics in relation to your small business or bookkeeping.

I hope your 2023 was just as positive as LDG has been, and wishing you all the success for a great 2024.

Melissa
