The hardest thing about being passionate about software is keeping up to date for by clients as well as all of you. But QBO does help me out with by providing a nice little update summary each month just in case I missed it.
So what has happened with the April 2024 update?
Budgets
The Budget feature now has a wizard to guide you through setting up a budget… including having your locations or classes consolidated…. Oh did I mention budgets are also searchable in QBO?
Updated Roles & Permissions
QBO have provided a new role called “Bookkeeper”, specifically built for inhouse bookkeepers but they also updated the Accounts Receivable Manager, Accounts Payable Manager & inhouse Accountant roles allowing you to add some more options to limit the users from some of your QBO data
Payroll Updates
Always at the risk of being a called Payroll nerd, I am really excited about this one
Super payments in a pay run - for cashflow and task management you can now submit the Superannuation for a pay run straight away as a payroll task. Awesome!!!! Plus the little green icon on each pay period will help you visually tell where you are up to in your payroll tasks.
