Latest Updates from Employment Hero

Numbers and Nonsense

So it is not a very quite secret that my favourite Payroll software is Employment Hero, as a self confessed Payroll nerd I am honestly under skilled in the Human Resources department so another great bonus to Employment Hero is that it has HR software that enhances the payroll software and makes people like me seem like HR gurus… well hopefully.

I have always seen HR as quite warm and fuzzy so the Employment Hero HR gives you structure to your HR function in my mind with checklists and tasks and reminders so i have gotten a little fond on the HR side too.

I know there are plenty of SaS HR programs but because I know EH and because it links with Employment Hero payroll, and Xero payroll and MYOB Payroll is what makes it hum for me.

So what have they done to update the HR product this year? Well that is the other great thing about EH they have been really dedicated to feature enhancements year after year and that is what you are paying for with a SaS right?

So as of March 2024 the HR product has;

  • Given Premium and Platinum Users the ability to add data fields to charts and customize charts more
  • Enabled Induction Content and policies to be acknowledged annually
  • Tweaked the Custom Security Groups so that Performance Reviews can be managed better.

Probably not necessarily a March 2024 but the recruitment Function is getting better all the time and it is great to see live how your candidates are responding to your questions with their own comments.

Good reminder that EH HR plugs into a gazillion apps including google workspace and Microsoft 365 to make it easy to activate (or deactivate) employees email addresses.

I am always forgetting that the Navigation Menu is also Customizable so don’t forget to own your HR platform make it yours…

And rostering in HR has also been enhanced but we will wait until we have tested that at LDG because remember payroll is my favourite and it works great with a kiosk in the payroll platform… so watch this space to see how EH can convince me this year to drop the ever faithful Clock Me In…
